Why I built this
I built my career at Deloitte as a Senior Consultant in Strategy & Analytics. I learned how to think under pressure, solve complex problems, and make decisions when there wasn't a clear answer. I loved what consulting gave me, but I also saw what it quietly asks you to sacrifice.
I landed what I thought was my dream job, and for a while, it lived up to my expectations. But over time, I found myself asking the questions we often ignore...
Is this what I actually want?Am I building a career that's right for me?Am I simply following the path that's expected?
As I talked with more consultants, I realized how common these types of questions really were. Consultants weren't necessarily unhappy. They were uncertain. It's not that they didn't know how to solve a hard problem (we are quite good at that).
The problem is we become so focused on building a successful career, that we rarely stop to ask whether we're building the right one.
That's why I built Life After Consulting.
Not simply to help people leave consulting, but to change the way professionals navigate their careers.
My goal is to give people something I wish existed when I was figuring it out myself: a clear process for understanding where they are, where they want to go, and how to get there. And then actually getting there.
